No, it’s not a wrestling move or a type of barn dance, but a device used to secure the main floor level to the foundation. In the event of an earthquake, the hold down is supposed to prevent the cabin from jumping off the foundation. In the main cabin we have 7 of these devices and it took me all day crawling up and down in the crawl space to get these installed. Mack and Steve headed home this afternoon to enjoy something different for the rest of their spring break (Mack was going to be focusing on sleeping in and catching up on some TV shows). It has been a real blessing to have their help and company over the last 10 days and it has made a real difference to the progress.
