All the windows and doors for the main cabin are now installed as well as rod and caulked. The rod and caulk is the final step in the air barrier which is designed to prevent air movement through the wall assembly. We had Marius’s guys (Attila and Max) up to work the caulking as they are the experts and do all my jobs in town. The blocking between all the rafters in the interior is also complete and will be used as a set point for the drywall edges. There is still much work to do casing the exterior of the windows but that will be tackled this week. Unfortunately, I discovered today that the sleeping cabin door is 2″ bigger that the opening. Not sure how we’re going to deal with that as everything else the manufacturer (Clearlook Windows) has supplied has been spot on…
Door too big? Get the chainsaw…
