Absolutely soaked through today. Nowhere to hide if we wanted to get anything done so we all got wet. The guys were here to start the septic and Mike and his son Tyler worked with the septic guys and also installed two 4500 litre cisterns on either side of the main foundation. The septic system is known as Elgen and consists of a relatively small discharge field (10 by 20′) because it uses a plastic web structure underneath the discharge pipes which assist in aerobic activity to eat up the yummy bits. The cisterns will hold the rainwater collected off the roof and then ultimately purified through a uv filter for the domestic water supply.
