Mud Room Makeover

We spent a weekend with Dean who helped us put together the final drywall touches on the mudroom walls. This has been held off till the end of the project as it effectively blocks access (and sight lines) from the back door to the rest of the cabin. After trimming things out and adding a bench ( cut out of the leftover T&G material used for the ceiling) we now have a functional mud room that will minimize the clutter. The weather was the most extreme event so far this year and we made the decision to bug out early on Sunday. After putting up with 20-30knts winds on Saturday, Sunday morning’s forecast was to continually increase to 60 knots for the day and that would have posed too many problems at that point. We put our tail between our legs and ran!
